Margot Swann, a professional surfer, sees her life take a dramatic turn when she is forced to take radical action to protect the wilderness of her hometown on Vancouver Island. Though admired, she finds herself at odds with much of the community, including her own family, who prioritize tourism development over the preservation of a centuries-old forest. With her career on the line, Margot must find balance as the storm she has unleashed threatens to sweep away her Olympic dream.
